Our International Night celebration will soon be here! This special event is an opportunity for us to come together to share a little of our own cultural backgrounds and to encourage an appreciation for the cultural diversity that makes up our world. It is a favorite among the students, and its success depends on the participation of parents and families who volunteer to teach us about a country.
Participants need not be from the country they present – you can represent any country that interests you! In past years, we have had a diversity of displays and activities such as traditional food, costumes, music, demonstrations of traditional games or dances, arts and crafts, and more. Multiple participants may collaborate on one country. Check with your student’s teacher--they may offer extra credit!
Please do consider participating! Many students and parents have found it to be a fun and rewarding experience.
