Welcome to the Great Outdoors!

We've learned a lot this summer about how to safely bring kids together in the outdoors for fun and connections with others.  We have found our kids and staff have adapted to face coverings and social distancing, and the feedback from our campers, staff and parents has inspired us to continue our outdoor programs in the fall. With most schools transitioning to distance and hybrid learning models, we are excited to extend camp options for the school year to our camp families.

What are TSC School Year Programs?

TSC school year programs provide camp engagement when your child is not in school for 3-year olds through 8th grade. All programs provide campers with safe socialization and connections to other campers and counselors in an active outdoor environment. Programs offered are Fall Day Camp, Saturday Camp, as well as Horseback riding Lessons and Trail Rides. Programs begin August 24th, 2020.

Fall Day Camp and Saturday Camp:

Campers engage in a mix of traditional camp activities and new projects like nature and craft projects.  A typical day might include some archery, a nature hike in the Arroyo, a craft or building project, a game of gaga, and lots of TSC fun. Through each week and each session, campers explore new projects and build new friendships. Fall Camp is a two-week block session, with either a 3 hour morning or 3.5 hour afternoon cohort. Saturday Camp is a 5-hour day and is a separate registration from Fall camp.

Horseback Riding Lessons and Trail Rides:

For beginners on up. Sign up for private 45-minute riding lessons and/or 45 minute Trail Rides (2-4 riders) with our caring and skilled staff. Multiple daily time slots available to fit with your school schedule. Signing up for week blocks is not required in this program because of inherent social distancing while on horseback.

Why do I have to sign-up for week-long blocks for Fall Camp?

State Health Department Guidelines, LA County Public Health Department Requirements, and City of Pasadena Department Health Protocols direct day camps to limit exposure of Covid-19 by keeping campers in small and consistent groups. To participate in Fall Day Camp, all campers must enroll for all five days per week for a two- week session. Saturday Camp requires signing up for two consecutive Saturdays.

What about Health and Safety?

Just like with our summer, our school year programs are 100% outdoors. In addition to requiring consistent enrollment, we will continue to follow all of the state, county and city directives regarding face coverings, physical distancing, health screenings, hand washing, and sanitizing and cleaning. For further information on our protocols, please refer to our Covid-19 Operating Guidelines

What else do I need to know?

There's a lot more information on our FAQs page - dates, rates and more!  Due to cohort requirements as well as staffing, we are limiting enrollment so we encourage you to sign up early.

We know many of you have been concerned over what your child will do when they are not in their distance or hybrid school program and we're excited to be able to offer this opportunity. We look forward to partnering with you this fall. Call our office with any questions!
